DAY SHIFT LINE LEAD

We are seeking an experienced Day Shift Line Shift Lead to join a high-performing manufacturing team in South Auckland.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will take ownership of shift operations, lead a team, and ensure production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

You’ll play a key role in driving performance, continuous improvement, and fostering a strong team culture on shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate production activities across your shift
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of operators/equipment owners
  • Ensure all safety, quality, and food safety standards are met
  • Drive production performance and minimise downtime
  • Lead shift handovers and reporting
  • Coordinate maintenance, changeovers, and daily operations
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, CI, Kaizen)
  • Ensure strong communication across teams and departments

About You

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership/supervisory role (3+ years)
  • Background in food or dairy manufacturing highly desirable
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of health & safety and quality systems
  • Experience with lean manufacturing / continuous improvement
  • Confident communicator with strong problem-solving ability
  • Flexible to work across shifts in a 24/7 production environment
