DRAINLAYER – CIVIL CONSTRUCTION & SUBDIVISIONS
One of Hamilton’s favourite Civil Contractors has asked us to find them Two of the best Drainlayers to join their Drainage team. These are permanent, full-time roles working for this highly respected, privately owned company.
This is a business where people genuinely matter. You will be joining a supportive, down-to-earth team environment working alongside experienced leadership on a wide range of projects ranging from residential right through to large-scale infrastructure developments.
The two roles up for grabs are:
- Skilled Time Served Drainlayer / Operator
- AND
- Qualified Drainlayer
- DRAINLAYER / OPERATOR
This role would suit an experienced, time-served drainlayer or civil operator who may not necessarily hold formal tickets but has solid hands-on drainage experience, practical knowledge, and a strong work ethic and would love to progress in their career.
LEAD DRAINLAYER
This is the senior role that requires skilled Lead Drainlayer to lead a team and work closely with the management. You will be able to operate plant and read plans to deliver exceptional drainage works. Ideally you should hold qualifications but if you don’t have the formal ticket but you have years of this proven experience then my client wants to meet!

- To be successful you will ideally have:
- Min 3-5 years proven Civil drainage experience
- Strong understanding of subdivision and infrastructure works – can read a plan
- Ability to work within a team environment, be honest and trustworthy
- Good work ethic, and reliability
- WTR endorsements or drainage qualifications advantageous but not essential for the right person !!!
- NZ Drivers licence as a minimum
