SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR - COMMERCIAL Vertical Construction
$150K Base + Benefits (can be negotiable for the right candidate)
We are recruiting on behalf of one of the Waikato’s most progressive and highly regarded commercial construction firms, with an outstanding reputation for delivering large-scale vertical construction projects across Hamilton and surroundings. Hitting the ground with a 100 Million project and 4 other major works in the pipeline. As a commercially sharp QS who can confidently manage the financial and contractual performance of projects from start to finish , this is an exciting opportunity to join a business that genuinely attracts some of the best construction professionals in the market.

What you will be doing:
- Full management of the commercial performance of multiple commercial construction projects
- Cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and full reporting
- Managing subcontractor procurement and negotiations
- Handling variations, claims, and contract administration
- Working closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, Clients, and Senior Leadership
- Ensuring projects remain financially on track and profitable
What we are looking for:
- Proven Quantity Surveying experience within reputable New Zealand commercial construction firms
- Ideally 3–5+ years’ NZ experience managing commercial / vertical build projects
- Strong understanding of NZ construction contracts and commercial processes
- Ability to confidently manage multiple projects and stakeholders
- Professional, driven, and commercially minded approach
- Strong communication both written and verbal along with exceptional relationship-building skills
- you will be calm by nature , well-organised and have good time management skills
