The Company
Our client is a global engineering company who manufactures and services specialist process engineering equipment for the food and dairy industry. They are a true champion of 5S and lean principles with a well optimised production flow. This role is based at their large production site in Hamilton.
The Role
You will be setting up and operating 2 axis CNC turning and machining centres to produce bespoke stainless steel components and parts, which will then be assembled by the production team.
We are seeking someone from an engineering background with the ability to understand drawings, materials, toolings, and who is confident in adhering to specified tolerances. CAM experience is not required, but you will need to be able to set up and modify G code programs.
There are 2 shifts available, between 6am to 2.30pm, and 2.30pm to 12.30am.
In summary, the requirements are,
- Experience in CNC machining with lathes or mills
- A background in mechanical engineering
- Able to set up and modify G code programs
- Quality driven and maximise machine efficiency
- Work well as a team
