Mattress Assembly - General Labourer
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mattress components including springs, foam layers, padding, and covers using manual and powered tools.
- Operate manufacturing equipment such as quilting machines, gluing stations, tape-edge machines, and cutting tools.
- Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Follow production plans and work orders to build mattresses accurately and efficiently.
- Measure, cut, and fit materials according to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, following safety protocols and proper material handling procedures.
- Troubleshoot minor machine or assembly issues and report larger problems to supervisors.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
